This smoothie is super good and full of nutrition and antioxidants. Green smoothies are a great way to get your green in with a tasty drink, perfect for breakfast or as a post workout meal.

What you’ll need:

– for the smoothie –

A bunch of washed spinach leaves

1/2 cup of almond milk

5 pitted dates

1 heaped Tbsp of brown cane sugar

2 frozen bananas

1 tsp of maca powder

frozen raspberries

cacao buckwheat (optional for topping)

– for the chia seed pudding –

2-3 tbsp chia seeds

100ml almond milk or a any other dairy free milk alternatives of your choice.

1 tsp vanilla

Instructions:

About an hour and a half before you want to make your smoothie mix the chia seed mixture together in a small bowl. The milk should cover the seeds well. Seal the container and chill in the fridge for 1 1/2 -2 hours. for best results leave the seeds soak overnight.

To make the smoothie blitz all the ingredients together except for the frozen raspberries and buckwheat until creamy and smooth. You can add as much spinach as you like to the smoothie, the more you add the greener it will look πŸ˜‰

When the chia seed pudding is ready fill half your smoothie glass with the green smoothie then spoon the chia seed pudding in on top of it slowly making sure it doesn’t sink through.

Add the remaining of the smoothie in over the chia seeds and top with frozen raspberries and buckwheat.

All that’s left to do it for you to enjoy it πŸ™‚
