When the weekend rolls around I always want to make something sweet. Mostly because I have the time as I’m off. 😉 This weekend I wanted to use up some food that was laying around in my press for awhile. I had to think a little bit of how I could use certain foods together. I had the majority of the ingredients for this recipe already, chickpeas, oats, vanilla, pb2 and water of course. The only thing I had to run out and get was some fresh medjool dates from the local market and a nice dark chocolate for the chocolate chips and I was ready to make some delicious cookie dough! I just wish I had a better blender or food processor though so I could of gotten a smoother texture. My little blender just wasn’t able to do that for me sadly. I was left with a mix that wasn’t as smooth as I would of liked but it still tasted great. Continue reading
This meal was super easy and fast to make after getting home from a long day at work. I thought I’d share it with you all. Potatoes are easily one of my favourite foods. They are so versatile you can eat them in so many different ways and also because I think my mom made potatoes or “spuds” with every single dinner when I was younger. I love when they’re all crispy like chips. Cutting them up nice and small into small cubes and frying them up is one of the quickest ways to cook them too. You could have this for lunch or dinner or for leftovers the following day. Continue reading
This is an all time favourite Indian curry dish that everyone has a palate for. Dahl’s are super versatile as you can make almost any vegetable your core ingredient for the dish, lentil being the most popular. I used red lentils and baby potatoes as my core ingredients for the curry.
Potatoes are a great addition to a curry, loaded with B vitamins, Vitamin C, Copper, Manganese, and Zinc. They taste great too in curry.
This dish is perfect to cook for friends or family who aren’t vegan to prove to them that meals CAN taste great without dairy or meat. Continue reading
I think these caramel slices are my favourite dessert recipe I’ve made to date. Not as quick to make as my other recipes but DEFINITELY worth the effort. The caramel sauce made from dates, almond butter and coconut oil couldn’t have tasted any better. It really tasted like real caramel. These slices are made from only raw ingredients and require no baking what so ever. They are so tasty, I have to resist eating them all at once. Continue reading
Happy Saturday! I got a nice little recipe for you to try out if you’ve got nothing to do on this Saturday afternoon. This mouse is soooo good! It’s a perfect healthy treat for the weekend that you don’t have to feel guilty about, and it’s 100% vegan. If you can’t tell already from my other posts, I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Every now and then after dinner I would crave something sweet, especially at the weekend. This chocolate mouse is perfect option as you can whip it up in 10 minutes with just a few simple staple ingredients that most people would have in their kitchen. Continue reading
This was the easiest, tastiest recipe I have made to date. All you need is three ingredients, a blender and your good to go. It’s a natural alternative recipe to the popular chocolate spread everyone loves, Nutella. And it really does taste like Nutella. I thought it was even more satisfying and more filling than Nutella. Continue reading
