Plant recipe: Spicy Breaded Tofu Strips

These crispy Tofu Strips with some Sweet chilli dipping sauce are a perfect snack for any occasion. They also make a great addition to a salad. Or you could add them to a wrap with greens or crunchy lettuce and veggies.

I often get the question as a new vegan, but.. where do you get your protein from? Tofu is a good source of protein and contains all eight essential amino acids. It is also an excellent source of iron and calcium and the minerals manganese, selenium and phosphorous. In addition, tofu is a good source of magnesium, copper, zinc and vitamin B1.

Plant recipe: Fried Potato with Grilled Sweet Pepper

This meal was super easy and fast to make after getting home from a long day at work. I thought I’d share it with you all. Potatoes are easily one of my favourite foods. They are so versatile you can eat them in so many different ways and also because I think my mom made potatoes or “spuds” with every single dinner when I was younger.  I love when they’re all crispy like chips. Cutting them up nice and small into small cubes and frying them up is one of the quickest ways to cook them too. Plant recipe: Potato & Red Lentil Dahl

This is an all time favourite Indian curry dish that everyone has a palate for. Dahl’s are super versatile as you can make almost any vegetable your core ingredient for the dish, lentil being the most popular. I used red lentils and baby potatoes as my core ingredients for the curry.

Potatoes are a great addition to a curry, loaded with B vitamins, Vitamin C, Copper, Manganese,  and Zinc. They taste great too in curry.

I think these caramel slices are my favourite dessert recipe I’ve made to date. Not as quick to make as my other recipes but DEFINITELY worth the effort. The caramel sauce made from dates, almond butter and coconut oil couldn’t have tasted any better. It really tasted like real caramel. These slices are made from only raw ingredients and require no baking what so ever. They are so tasty, I have to resist eating them all at once.  Continue reading

All week I had been craving tortilla chips, literally every night. So when the weekend came along I decided to hop into the kitchen and make some from scratch to kill the craving once and for all. The tortilla chips were so simple to make, they were ready in 15 minutes.  To go with the chips I needed to make some sort of dip.
